1. About us
Hammer & Pixel is a trading name of Revive Business Solutions Ltd, a UK limited company registered in England and Wales. We design and build custom websites for roofing businesses. These terms apply to any client who engages us under our standard "Free Draft → £995 Build → £495/year Maintenance" offer.
2. What you're buying
Our standard offer covers:
- A free initial design draft of your homepage, with no obligation to proceed.
- If you approve the draft, a custom website of around 30 pages: a homepage, a page for each service you offer, a landing page for each town you cover, and the essentials (about, reviews, contact, quote).
- Copywriting for every page, written from a short brief you complete plus our research.
- Local SEO setup, Google Business Profile setup, and a smart quote wizard with emergency-call routing.
- Live within 7 working days of brief sign-off.
3. The free draft
The first homepage design is free. You owe nothing if you decide not to proceed. If you approve the draft, the £995 build fee becomes due before we start the full build.
4. Payment
- £995 build fee: payable in full when you approve the design draft and before we begin the full build. Paid by bank transfer to the account details on our invoice.
- £495 annual maintenance fee: charged from the day your site goes live, billed annually in advance. Covers monthly dependency and security updates, weekly automated backups, security and uptime monitoring, and an annual performance audit (page speed, broken links). Does not include design changes, new content, new pages, or other client-requested changes. Those are quoted separately.
- Late payments may attract interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate, in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations.
5. What we need from you
To build your site we need from you:
- Completed brief (services, towns covered, business basics, any photos you want us to use).
- Logo and any brand assets you already have, or permission to design a new one (additional fee may apply).
- Domain name details if you already own one, or permission for us to register one on your behalf (registration cost is yours, billed at cost).
- Sign-off at the design-draft stage and at the pre-launch review stage.
If you delay providing what we need by more than 14 days, we reserve the right to pause the build or revisit the timeline.
6. Ownership and code handover
- You own the content you provide.
- You own the design and code of your finished website on full payment of the £995 build fee. We can provide a complete code handover on request.
- Hammer & Pixel retains the right to display your site (or screenshots of it) as part of our portfolio unless you tell us not to.
7. Cancelling maintenance
You can cancel the £495 annual maintenance plan at any time by emailing us. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current annual term. We don't refund mid-term cancellations but we'll continue to provide maintenance up to the end of the paid period.
If you cancel, you keep your site, the code, and the hosting if you've taken over the hosting account. We stop applying updates and backups, and you're then responsible for keeping the site healthy.
8. What we promise (and what we don't)
We will:
- Build your site to the agreed brief, to a professional standard.
- Apply reasonable skill and care.
- Be responsive on WhatsApp, email, and phone during UK working hours.
We can't promise:
- That your site will rank in any specific position on Google or any other search engine.
- A specific volume of enquiries, calls, or jobs as a result of your site.
- Continuous uptime, though we monitor for it and aim for 99.9%.
9. Liability
Our total liability to you under or in connection with these terms is capped at the total fees you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We do not exclude liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded under UK law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we'll tell existing clients by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
