Terms of Service

1. About us

Hammer & Pixel is a trading name of Revive Business Solutions Ltd, a UK limited company registered in England and Wales. We design and build custom websites for trade firms and cleaning companies. These terms apply to any client who engages us under our standard offer: a free live demo, then the build if you want it.

2. What you're buying

Our standard offer covers:

• A free live demo of your homepage, with no obligation to proceed.
• If you approve the live demo, a custom website of around 30 pages: a homepage, a page for each service you offer, a landing page for each town you cover, and the essentials (about, reviews, contact, quote).
• Copywriting for every page, written from a short brief you complete plus our research.
• Local SEO setup, Google Business Profile setup, and a smart quote tool with emergency-call routing.
• Live within 7 days of brief sign-off.
• One fee for the build, stated on our pricing page. Nothing is charged monthly at the sale, and no care plan is required as part of the build.
• You keep your domain, and the finished site is yours in full once it is paid for.

3. The free live demo

Your live demo is free and there is no payment of any kind before it. You owe us nothing if you decide not to proceed. If you approve it, the one build fee set out in your agreement becomes due before we start the full build.

4. Payment

• Build fee: one fee for the whole build, set out in your agreement and stated on our pricing page. Payable in full when you approve the live demo and before we begin the full build. Paid by bank transfer to the account details on our invoice. There is no setup fee and no tier above it.
• Nothing monthly at the sale: the build fee is the only charge for the build. We do not bill you monthly for anything as part of it, and taking a care plan is never a condition of the build.
• The care plan, if you want it: we offer it after your site is live, never at the sale. It is optional, billed monthly in advance at the rate we agree with you at the time, and rolling month to month with no minimum term. It covers hosting, your domain name renewal, SSL, automated backups, security and uptime monitoring, and content updates on request. Full redesigns or work beyond this scope are quoted separately.
• Late payments may attract interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate, in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations.

5. What we need from you

To build your site we need from you:

• Completed brief (services, towns covered, business basics, any photos you want us to use).
• Logo and any brand assets you already have, or permission to design a new one (additional fee may apply).
• Domain name details if you already own one, or permission for us to register one on your behalf (registration cost is yours, billed at cost).
• Sign-off at the live demo stage and at the pre-launch review stage.

If you delay providing what we need by more than 14 days, we reserve the right to pause the build or revisit the timeline.

6. Ownership and code handover

• You own the content you provide.
• Ownership of the design and code of your finished website passes to you in full once the build fee is paid. We hand over the site files on request.
• Hammer & Pixel retains the right to display your site (or screenshots of it) as part of our portfolio unless you tell us not to.

7. Cancelling the care plan

There is no minimum term. You can cancel the care plan at any time by emailing us, giving one month's notice. Cancellation takes effect at the end of that month, and we bill you nothing after it.

If you leave, we transfer your domain name to you at no charge and hand over the site files. You keep your site and the code. We stop applying updates, backups and monitoring, and looking after the site is yours from then on.

8. What we promise (and what we don't)

We will:

• Build your site to the agreed brief, to a professional standard.
• Apply reasonable skill and care.
• Be responsive on WhatsApp, email, and phone during UK working hours.

We can't promise:

• That your site will rank in any specific position on Google or any other search engine.
• A specific volume of enquiries, calls, or jobs as a result of your site.
• Continuous uptime, though we monitor for it and aim for 99.9%.

9. Liability

Our total liability to you under or in connection with these terms is capped at the total fees you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We do not exclude liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded under UK law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we'll tell existing clients by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
